Installing full-height, half-length PCIe boards

The Matrox 4Sight XV6 motherboard has the following PCIe connectors, which
allow you to connect up to four Matrox (or third-party) full-height, half-length
PCIe boards to your Matrox 4Sight XV6:
Slot #
Description
1
PCIe 3.0 x16
2
PCIe 3.0 x4 (open-ended)
3
PCIe 3.0 x8 * (mechanically x16)
4
PCIe 3.0 x4 (open-ended)
*. The first PCIe 3.0 x16 connector (slot 1) will operate at a x8 width when a board is present in the second PCIe 3.0 x16
connector (slot 3). The second PCIe 3.0 x16 connector (slot 3) is electrically wired as a PCIe x8 slot, so PCIe x16 boards
will operate at a maximum of PCIe x8.
 Note that, depending on the slot in which you install the board, it might not
operate at full width of the slot.
Matrox 4Sight XV6 supports PCIe boards with a single or a double bracket. You
can install four boards with a single bracket, or two boards with a double bracket.
