Warning
Matrox 4Sight XV6 has connectors on its front and back panel to connect to the
following devices:
• Six USB connectors are available to connect to devices such as USB3 Vision
cameras, a USB mouse, a keyboard, a printer, or a flash drive. USB hubs can also
be used to connect multiple USB devices to a USB connector. Typically, you
connect your USB3 Vision cameras to the USB 3.1 connectors because they
support speeds of up to 5 Gbps.
In environments where your Matrox 4Sight XV6 is subjected to vibrations,
connect your third-party USB devices to your unit using locking cables.
• Two Gigabit Ethernet connectors
network and possibly your industrial network or a GigE Vision camera. The left
Ethernet connector has an I210 network interface and the right Ethernet
connector has an I219-LM network interface. The I219-LM Gigabit Ethernet
connector provides Wake-on-LAN (WoL) and Intel Active Management
Technology (AMT) for remote management.
• Four video output connectors to which you can connect up to 3 display devices:
- You can connect one high-resolution analog display device (such as an analog
monitor or analog flat panel) to the VGA connector.
- You can connect a high-resolution digital display device (such as a digital flat
panel) to each of the DVI-D, HDMI, or DisplayPort connectors. The
DisplayPort connector is version 1.2 and the HDMI connector is version 1.4.
• One PS/2 connector to which you can connect a PS/2 mouse or keyboard.
• Three 1/8" mini plugs used for audio input, audio output, and a microphone.
To connect additional cameras or other types of cameras, you can install a frame
grabber in the unit. See Connecting peripheral devices section, in Chapter 2: Getting
started with your Matrox 4Sight XV6 unit.
