Devices that can be added to your Matrox 4Sight XV6 motherboard

Devices that can be added to your
Matrox 4Sight XV6 motherboard
Matrox 4Sight XV6 is designed to accommodate selected hardware additions. The
Matrox 4Sight XV6 motherboard has connectors to connect the following
devices:
• Eight SATA3 data connectors for connecting additional mass storage devices. For
information on how to connect devices to the SATA3 data connectors, see
Connecting a device to the SATA3 data connectors section later in this chapter.
• Two M.2 sockets, one is E-Key and one is M-Key. The M-Key connector already
has a 120 Gbyte SSD attached to it. For information on how to install a
mini-board to one of the M.2 sockets, see Replacing the M.2 SSD attached to the
M.2 socket section later in the chapter.
• Four PCIe 3.0 connectors for connecting Matrox (or third party) full-height,
half-length add-on boards. For example, you can connect frame grabbers, digital
I/O boards, and/or a Matrox board that supports hardware-assisted PROFINET
communication (for example, Matrox Indio). For information on how to install
add-on boards to the PCIe connectors, see Installing full-height, half-length PCIe
boards section later in the chapter
• One mini-PCIe connector for connecting a mini-PCIe add-on board.
• Four 288-pin Long-DIMM memory slots. One or two memory modules, with a
total of 8 or 16 Gbytes of memory combined, come pre-installed in the slots,
depending on what was ordered. For information on how to install Long-DIMM
memory slots, see Installing or removing RAM section later in the chapter.
