■ Particles can be drawn into the pump if the
strainer or filter are not properly fitted. The
sprayer and spraying attachment can be
blocked or damaged.
► Always fit the strainer and filter securely
before sealing the container.
■ To reduce the risk of leakage:
► Place the sprayer on a level surface when
filling the container.
► Do not overfill the container.
► If you fill the container with a hose attached
to a central water supply, keep the hose out
of the solution to reduce the risk of back‐
flow, i.e. the chemicals being sucked into
the water supply.
■ Use of unsuitable chemicals can cause per‐
sonal injury and damage the sprayer and/or
the objects being sprayed.
► Always follow the chemical manufacturer's
handling, dilution and application instruc‐
tions.
■ To reduce the risk of spilling the contents of
the container:
► Stand upright while working and avoid
bending at the waist.
■ Running the sprayer without fluid in the con‐
tainer will cause the pump to overheat, which
may result in permanent damage and leakage:
► Do not operate the sprayer without liquid in
the container.
WARNING
■ To reduce the risk of short circuit, fire and
electrocution:
► Never direct the spray jet toward the
sprayer itself or any of its components.
► Never direct the spray at electrical applian‐
ces and equipment, sockets or power
cords.
► Never spray near electrical outlets or
other power sources.
► Never use your sprayer if the battery
compartment cover or the casing
around the motor is worn, cracked or
damaged.
DANGER
■ Chemicals can be harmful to individuals, ani‐
mals and the environment. Always read and
follow the chemical manufacturer's warnings
and instructions regarding proper preparation,
dilution, safe use and disposal.
► Mix chemicals outdoors or in well-ventilated
areas. Never mix different chemicals unless
specifically authorized by the chemical
makers.

► Rinse the container and flush the spray
gun, nozzle and hoses in an environmen‐
tally responsible manner before re-filling the
container with a different chemical.
► Follow the chemical manufacturer's dilution
recommendations.
► Prepare the amount of chemical solution
that will be used up at one time, with no
extra solution stored in the container after
finishing work.
► Fill and operate the sprayer outdoors or in a
well-ventilated area with proper respiratory
protection.
► Do not spray in the direction

► Never attempt to clear nozzles, valves,
hoses or other components by blowing
through them with your mouth.
► Follow the chemical manufacturer's instruc‐

chemical manufacturer's instructions. In
case of doubt, contact your local poison
control center without delay. Have the pro‐
duct's label available to read to the person
you consult.
► Always follow local, state and federal chem‐
ical regulations.

battery and all warnings and instructions that
accompany it.
■ Use of unauthorized batteries can damage the
power tool and result in fire, explosion and
personal injury and property damage.
► Use only genuine STIHL AP series batter‐
ies.
■ Use of STIHL AP series batteries for any pur‐
pose other than powering STIHL power tools
could be extremely dangerous.
► Use STIHL AP series batteries only to
power compatible STIHL power tools.
■ Use of unauthorized chargers can damage the
battery and result in fire, explosion and per‐
