4 Union Nut
For securing the spray lance to the spray gun.
5 Spray Gun
For controlling and directing the spray.
6 Pressure Gauge
Shows the sprayer's operating pressure.
7 Control Handle
For holding and controlling the spraying
attachment.
8 Union Nut
For securing the hose on the spray gun.
9 Trigger Switch
For opening and closing the valve in the
spray gun. Starts and stops the spray.
10 Retaining Latch
Locks/unlocks the trigger switch.

Safety Symbols on the
Product
4.1
Sprayer
The following safety symbols are found on the
sprayer:
To reduce the risk of injury, follow the
specified safety precautions.
Read and follow all safety precautions
in the instruction manual. Improper use
can lead to serious or fatal personal
injury or property damage. In addition,
read and follow the warnings and
instructions for the chemical products
being sprayed.
To reduce the risk of eye injury, always
wear goggles that are rated to ANSI
Z87.1 to protect against droplet/splash
hazards.
Exposure to toxic chemicals can cause
serious or fatal injury. The operator and
bystanders may need a properly fitted
respirator approved by NIOSH/MSHA
for the chemical being used. Read and
follow all warnings and instructions on
the chemical product label.
Always wear rubber, chemical-resistant
boots.
Wear protective coveralls as recom‐
mended in the warnings and instruc‐
tions for the chemical being used. If
you are spraying overhead, or if the
spray may reach head height, wear a
protective head covering.

To reduce the risk of contact with any
chemicals, always wear rubber, chemi‐
cal-resistant gloves.
Never spray in the direction of
other persons, animals or prop‐
erty which might be injured or
damaged by the spray solution.
Keep bystanders away when
spraying.
To reduce the risk of injury or property
damage from unintended activation,
remove the battery any time the
sprayer is not in use,

5.1
Introduction
When using a battery-powered sprayer, basic
precautions should always be followed, including
the following:

WARNING
■ To reduce the risk of fire, explosion, electric
shock or other personal injury, read and follow
the important safety instructions in this chap‐
ter. Additional important warnings and instruc‐
tions are provided in subsequent chapters of
this manual.
5.2
Intended Use
WARNING
■ Use your backpack sprayer for spraying chem‐
icals and other liquid solutions to control pests
and weeds in fruit, flower and vegetable gar‐
dens, on trees and bushes, and on other
plants. Do not use it for other purposes since
misuse may result in personal injury or prop‐
erty damage, including damage to the sprayer
itself.
■ Use only chemical solutions that are specifi‐
cally approved for use in pressurized sprayers
by their manufacturer and meet all safety reg‐
ulations, standards and ordinances. Never
spray chemical solutions that are caustic, cor‐
rosive, or poisonous.
■ The sprayer is designed for outdoor use. It
may be used in greenhouses that are well-
ventilated if the manufacturer of the chemical
being sprayed allows such use at the concen‐
