14 Switching the Sprayer On and Off

► Place the sprayer on a level surface.
► Open the battery compartment cover (1).
► Insert the battery (2) into the battery compart‐
ment (3) until it stops.
The battery is properly inserted when you hear
an audible click and the battery is flush with
the top of the housing. In this position, there is
electrical contact between the battery and the
sprayer.
► Close the battery compartment cover and
ensure that it is properly secured in place.
Since a new battery is not fully charged, STIHL
recommends that you fully charge the battery
before using it the first time,
13.2
Removing the Battery
WARNING
■ To reduce the risk of personal injury from unin‐
tended activation, always remove the battery
before assembling, transporting, cleaning,
servicing, maintaining or storing the sprayer,
and any other time it is not in use.
WARNING
■ Use care when removing the battery to pre‐
vent it from falling and causing personal injury
or property damage.
To remove the battery:
► Release the trigger switch.
► Place the sprayer on a level surface.
► Position your hand behind the battery.

► Open the battery compartment cover (1).

► Compress the locking levers (3) to eject the
battery (2) from the battery compartment.
► Close the battery compartment cover and
ensure that it is properly secured in place.
NOTICE
■ Avoid exposing the battery to excessive heat
or prolonged periods of direct sunlight. Use or
storage outside the recommended ambient
temperature range can reduce the perform‐
ance of the battery.

Switching On
WARNING
■ Never operate your sprayer if it is damaged,
improperly adjusted or maintained, not com‐
pletely and securely assembled or not func‐
tioning properly,
personal injury, always wear protective equip‐
ment, including proper respiratory and eye
protection, when operating your sprayer,

Before switching on:
► Make sure you have a secure and firm footing.
► Stand upright.
► Always hold and operate the sprayer with one
hand firmly on the spray gun.
To switch the sprayer on:

► Move the rocker switch (1) to position .
The LED (2) will glow green and a short beep
will sound. The sprayer is ready for operation.
The sprayer will switch off automatically if the
trigger switch is not activated for approximately
15 minutes. The LED (2) will go out and a short
beep will sound. To re-activate the sprayer:
► Move the rocker switch (1) to position and
then to position .
