20 Cleaning

NOTICE
■ Freezing temperatures can damage compo‐
nents of the sprayer. Store the sprayer indoors
in a dry room where it is protected from freez‐
ing temperatures. Relieve all system pressure
and make sure all liquids are eliminated from
the pump system, hose and lance before stor‐
ing.

Battery
WARNING
■ TTo reduce the risk of a short circuit, which
could lead to electric shock, fire and explosion,
never store the battery with small metal
objects capable of conducting electricity (e.g.,
paper clips, nails, coins, keys),
battery is damp or wet, allow it to dry thor‐
oughly before storing,
WARNING
■ Extreme temperatures can damage the battery
and may also cause the battery to generate
heat, rupture, leak, ignite or explode, resulting
in severe or fatal personal injury or property
damage. Never charge, use or store the bat‐
tery outside the specified ambient temperature
limits,

To properly store the battery:
► Remove the battery from the sprayer.
► When storing the battery, maintain a charge of
40 % to 60 % (2 green LEDs).
► If storing the battery in the charger, disconnect
the charger from the outlet.
► Make sure the battery is dry and store it
indoors in a dry and secure location.
► Keep it out of the reach of children and other
unauthorized persons.
► Protect the battery against dampness and cor‐
rosive agents such as garden chemicals and
de-icing salts.
► Protect the battery from exposure to conduc‐
tive liquids such as salt water.
► For maximum battery life, store the battery at
an ambient temperature between 50 °F and
68 °F (10 °C and 20 °C) with a charge
between 40 % and 60 % (2 green LEDs).
► Do not leave spare batteries unused. Use
them in rotation.

manent damage. To avoid deep discharge:
► Remove the battery from the sprayer after
finishing work.
► For maximum battery life, store the battery
with a charge between 40 % and 60 % (2
green LEDs).
► If storing the battery in the charger, discon‐
nect the charger from the outlet.
► For maximum battery life, store the battery
at an ambient temperature between 50 °F
and 68 °F (10 °C and 20 °C).
20 Cleaning
20.1
Cleaning the Sprayer and Bat‐
tery
WARNING
■ Users of this sprayer should carry out only the
cleaning described in this manual. Remove
the battery and empty the container before
cleaning. Always wear proper clothing and
protective apparel, including rubber/chemical-
resistant gloves,
pressure by squeezing the trigger switch,
switch the sprayer off and lock the trigger
switch,
16.2. Never use a pressure washer
to clean the unit and never spray it with water
or other liquids.
To clean the sprayer:
► Clean the sprayer's polymer components, cou‐
plings and connectors with a slightly damp‐
ened cloth. Do not use abrasives or solvents
that may damage the sprayer's polymer com‐
ponents.
► Do not use a pressure washer to clean the
unit. Never spray the unit with water or other
liquids.
► Keep the battery housing and guides free from
foreign matter and clean as necessary with a
soft brush or soft, dry cloth.
20.2
Cleaning the Filter
A clogged filter can cause excessive pressure to
build in the pump. Clean the filter if it becomes
clogged.
