When not in use, unplug the power supply from the electrical outlet. Pull the plug, not the
cable. Unplug the power cord before a storm breaks out. If the appliance is not going to be
used for a long time, e.g. before going on a long journey, pull the plug from the socket. The
heat generated during operation must be dissipated through adequate air circulation.
Therefore, the appliance must not be covered or stored in a closed cabinet. Make sure that
there is at least 10 cm of free space around the appliance.

8 Basic operation

8.1 Switching on/off device
To switch on the Transit 121 IR, press the VOLUME/ON/STANDBY button (2). The
radio now plays the last selected mode.
To switch it off, press the VOLUME/ON/STANDBY button (2) again. If the radio is plugged in, the
display shows the date and time (standby).

8.2 Menu navigation

This usually occurs when advanced settings are made or existing settings are changed
necessary to do so via the device menu. To enter the menu,
press the MENU button (4).
To navigate through the menu, turn the OK/SNOOZE knob (10).
To activate/save a function or option, press the OK/SNOOZE knob. To go
back one step, press the BACK button.
To exit the device menu again, press the MENU button again. Please note that not
all options are available in all modes.
Use the OK/SNOOZE knob (10).
Turn it clockwise or anti-clockwise to move the highlight bar and select or toggle settings, then
press the knob to confirm/save your selection or go one step further. Currently active
functions or options are marked with an asterisk *.
Beachten Sie, dass der OK/SNOOZE Drehknopf auch zur Auswahl der Sender/Frequenz
verwendet wird.
Zum verlassen des Menüs ohne Auswahl, warten Sie kurz ab, oder drücken Sie die Taste MENU
bzw. BACK mehrmals.
