8.3 Volume control

To change the volume, turn the VOLUME/ON/STANDBY knob.
>
Turn the knob clockwise to increase the volume or counterclockwise
to decrease it.

8.4 Use headphones

Warning of hearing damage!
Do not listen to the radio at high volume through headphones. This can lead to permanent
hearing damage. Before using headphones, set the volume of the device to minimum. If you
connect headphones (not supplied), the unit's speaker will be muted.

Only use headphones with a 3.5 mm stereo jack plug.
>
Insert the headphone plug into the headphone socket (2) on the back of the radio.
Sound is now only played through headphones.
>
If you want to listen through the speaker again, remove the headphone plug
from the headphone socket on the device.
