7.1.6 Annual maintenance of the central screw

For the safe operation of the SVZ-UNI-VARIO shaft relocation pliers, it is imperative that the central
screw (M24) is securely screwed in place.
It is also important that the central screw including both washers is checked for tight fit (120 Nm).
01) Open screw with suitable tool (wrench size 19 mm).
02) Use a suitable hoist to lift the tong head out of the tong
ring.
03) Check washers and central screw for tight fit. If the
washers are loose or the central screw can be loosened
with less than
120 Nm torque, it must be dismantled with a suitable tool
and you must continue with point 4.
If all three components are tight, a further check is only
carried out after one year.
