Dark Field accumulation begins with progress shown in the display window. Once all
9
frames have been acquired, the detector updates with the averaged gain calibration for the
current mode. The updated message shows on the progress window and calibration
process completes. Once Gain Calibration is complete, click Close.

If the median value is higher than 16,000, the dose used needs to be
Note
decreased and the gain calibration repeated.
If the median valued is lower than 8,000, the dose needs to be increased and
Note
the gain calibration repeated.
Gain calibration should be performed at regular intervals, typically once
every 3 months or whenever the central beam of the X-ray source moves
Note
relative to the detector.
X-ray tube replacement requires a new gain calibration.
Note
Accumulating a minimum 32 frames for gain calibration provides optimal
image quality; however, ONLY the system integrator determines the actual
Note
number of calibration frames used, based upon specific performance
requirements.
