CONFIGURING DYNAMIC IP ADDRESSING
To configure a computer to use dynamic IP addressing:
WINDOWS 7/8
1.
In the Control Panel, locate Network and Internet
Network Status and Tasks
Network Status and Tasks.

In the View your active networks – Connect or disconnect
View your active networks – Connect or disconnect section,
click Local Area Connection
Local Area Connection in the Connections
Connection Status window displays.
3.
Click Properties
Properties. The Local Area Connection Properties window
displays.
4.
Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)
Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4), then click Properties
Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) Properties window displays.

Click the Obtain an IP address automatically
6.
Click the Obtain DNS server address automatically
click OK
OK.
7.
In the Local Area Connection Properties window, click OK
settings.
8.
To configure Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) to use dynamic
IP addressing, repeat steps 1 to 7. However for step 4, select Internet
Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)
Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) in the Properties
section for Gateway configuration).
