Moving Out of Overtravel Conditions
If the hoist was purposefully moved into an overtravel condition, the following procedure can move the
hoist out of the overtravel condition. If the hoist was moved into this condition unintentionally, contact
your authorized ETC dealer or ETC technical services representative.
1:
Access the motor control box.
2:
Determine the direction (up or down) that you need to move to take the hoist out of the
overtravel condition.
3:
Press and hold the OVERTRAVEL override button. This will allow you to move the hoist using the
local switch.
4:
Press and hold the switch in the direction to move out of the overtravel condition.
5:
Verify the Overtravel and appropriate limit switch LEDs are no longer illuminated.
6:
Verify that the hoist operates normally and stops at the limits without going into the overtravel
condition.
System Setup and Test
It is important to return the batten to its normal operating range before testing the
overtravel limit. Testing the overtravel limit with full momentum of the hoist is the
desired outcome of returning the hoist to its normal operating range.
