Optional interfaces

You can extend the Panel PC beyond the basic configuration by additional interfaces. The following ordering
options are available:

C9900-E186 IP65 connector M12 socket in the connection compartment for a serial interface RS232

electrical isolation, overvoltage protection. Configuration as full duplex endpoint: Echo on,
Auto send off, Always send on, Auto receive off, Always receive on, Termination on
C9900-E261 IP65 connector M12 socket in the connection compartment for a serial interface ES485,
electrical isolation, overvoltage protection. Configuration as endpoint without echo: Echo
off, Auto send on, Always send off, Auto receive on, Always receive off, Termination on

The panel PC can be equipped with a maximum of six interfaces. No further interfaces can be ordered. Any
interfaces that are ordered are installed ex factory.
3.3.1

Ethernet RJ45

The additional, optional Ethernet RJ45 interfaces in the form of push-pull built-in sockets enable the
connection of appropriate network components with data rates of 100/1000 Mbit/s in accordance with the
Ethernet standards 100Base-T and 1000Base-T. The required speed is selected automatically. The cable is
routed through the mounting arm adapter.
The RJ45 connection technology with twisted-pair cables is used. The maximum length of the cable
connection is 100 m.
The Ethernet ports are suitable for cycle times <= 1 ms and for distributed clock applications in EtherCAT.
