4 MEMORY FEATURES
MICROPROCESSOR MEMORY
BACKUP
This transceiver uses a lithium battery to retain the
user-specified memory items. Switching the power off
will not erase the Menu Set-ups or memory channels.
Lithium battery life is approximately five years.
If you find the transceiver powers-up with default
settings, and channel and VFO data is erased, have
the lithium battery replaced.
Contact an authorized
KENWOOD service facility or dealer.
MEMORY CHANNEL DATA
There are 100 memory channels.

* If you change the setting after selecting a memory
channel, the previous data for that setting will be
overwritten.

MEMORY CHANNEL STORAGE
SIMPLEX-FREQUENCY CHANNEL
STORAGE
Store the same transmit frequency,
receive
frequency, and mode in any memory channel (00
through 99) with this procedure:
1.
Select a frequency, a modulation mode, and other
data (as required).
Example: Select 50.750 MHz and USB in A VFO.

Press the M.IN button.
The last memory channel
number selected appears.
Example:
Factory default

Select a memory channel using the UP or DOWN
button.
Example:
Select channel 7.

Press the M.IN button again. The displayed data
is stored in the selected memory channel, and the
transceiver returns to its previous settings.
Note:
Pressing the M.IN button overwrites new dala on
any previous data in that channel,
To avoid accidental loss of data, there is a tunction
which allows you to select only from among the empty
channels.
