3-4. Single UPS Operation

1. Turn on the UPS with electricity (in AC mode)
1) After the power supply is properly connected, set the battery unit disconnect to the "ON" position.
( this step is only necessary for long-term models) . Then set the input path breaker to the "ON"
position . At the same time the fan will start running and the UPS will start initialization. In just a
few seconds, the UPS will supply power to the load via Bypass mode.
NOTE: When the UPS is in Bypass mode, the output voltage will be directed from the power source
after you turn on the input breaker. In Bypass mode, the load is not protected by the UPS. To protect
your precious device, you should turn on the UPS . See next steps.
2) Touch "CONTROL" and select the "UPS on/off" icon. It will display "Enable UPS?" on the screen and
select "Yes". Look at the UPS On / Off screen.
3)
In just a few seconds, UPS will enter to AC mode . If the power is abnormal, the UPS will operate in
Battery mode without interruption.
NOTE: When the UPS runs out of battery, it will automatically turn off in Battery mode. When the power
source is normalized, the UPS will restart automatically in AC mode.
2. Turn on the UPS without electrical power supply (in Battery mode)
1) Make sure both battery circuits are connected correctly in order of terminals " +,GND,-" and
the battery pack disconnect is in the "ON" position (for long-term models only).
2) Press the " " button
"UPS on/off" icon. It will display "Enable UPS?" on the screen and select "Yes". Look at the UPS On /
Off screen.
3) In just a few seconds, the UPS will be turned on and enter Battery mode .
3 . Connect the device to the UPS
After the UPS is turned on, you can connect your device to the UPS.
1)
Turn on the UPS first, and then turn on the devices one at a time. The LCD panel will display
total load level .
2) If it is necessary to connect an inductive load such as a printer, the load inlet current should be
carefully calculated to see if it meets the overload capability of the UPS. Any load more than 150%
exceeds the designed capacity, the runtime will be less than 60ms
3) If the UPS is overloaded, the bell will ring twice every second.
4) When the UPS is overloaded, please remove some load immediately. It is recommended that the
total load connected to the UPS be less than 80% of its nominal power capacity to prevent
overloading for system safety.
5) If the load time is more than the acceptable time stated in the specification in AC mode, the UPS will
automatically switch to Bypass mode. Once the overload is resolved, it will return to AC mode. If the
overload time exceeds the acceptable time listed in the specification in Battery mode, the UPS will
enter an error state . At this time, if bypass is enabled, the UPS will deliver power to the load through
the bypass. If the bypass function is disabled or the input power is not within an acceptable range,
the output will be cut off entirely.
