Installation
Set the
shock
absorber
onto the shock
arm with the rebound
adjuster facing
to
the nght.
Tighten the lower mounting bolt to the specified torque.
Torque:

Install and tighten the rear
shock
absorber upper mounting
bolt/nut.
Torque

Tighten the spring adjuster lock

Install the sub-frame

Shock Linkage
Removal
Remove the
following:
-
Lower chain guide roller
-
Swlngarrn caps
-
Shock
absorber low
er mounting
bolt
-
Shock arm bolt (swingarm
side)
-
Shock link bolt
(frame-side)
-
Shock linkage assembly
Disassemble the shock
arm and shock
link.
Remove the side collars, pivot
collars,
dust seals and
washers.
Inspect the
shock
arm/shock link
collars,
dust seals and needle
bearings
for
wear or
damage.
Inspect the spherical bearing for wear or damage.
Replace any parts that have
scratches,
score marks, excessive
or abnormal
wear.
