Crankshaft Removal
CAUTION
When
remov ing,
installing
and
inspecting
the
crankshaft,
be careful not to damage or nick the
hollo
w
crank
weights.
Separate the
crankcase
(page 10-3).
Remove the
transmission (page
10-4).
Remove the crankshaft from the right
crankcase
using a
hydraulic press as shown.
If
the
crankshaft bearing
is removed with the
crankshaft,
remove
the bearing using the bearing
puller and
discard the
bearing.
