PRESSURE REGULATING VALVE
DESCRIPTION
A pressure regulating valve is installed at the rear
of the A/C compressor to provide belt tension and
prevent drive belt from slipping.
PRESSURE SETTING
To increase pressure setting, install an air gauge
between the pressure regulator and belt tightener air
cylinder. Loosen lock nut on regulator valve, turn
adjusting screw until air pressure reading on gauge is
95 psi. NOTE: Turn the 4 way air control valve to
"'off' and "on" position several times and check the
air gauge for 95 psi. setting. After proper reading is
accomplished, tighten lock nut at top of valve and
remove gauge and install air lines. Check lines for air
leaks.
CAUTION: Adjust pressure regulating valve by
turning screw clockwise to accomplish final 95 psi.
setting.
