Place mainshaft rear ball bearing on rear of main-
shaft with snap ring on outer diameter of bearing
toward rear and tap in place on mainshaft and in case
bore. Place mainshaft rear bearing thrust washer on
mainshaft
and
slide
against
bearing.
Place
speedometer drive gear on spacer, if speedometer
gear is not used on mainshaft, next to thrust washer.
Place speedometer driven gear lower bushing in rear
mainshaft bearing cap and tap in place.
Install speedometer driven gear in bearing cap and
secure in place with upper bushing and two capscrews
and lockwashers. Coat mainshaft rear bearing cap
gasket with gasket cement and install on rear of main
case and line up oil drain holes. Install ma1nshaft
