Press the TEXT IN/OUT
Key, press the number
corresponding to the file
whose contents are to be
cleared.
Press the < 3 Key
together with the CODE
Key. The following mes-
sage appears on the LCD
Display. (Check whether
the contents are to be
cleared or not.)
DELETE #1 V/N ?

(Display applies when file
1 has been selected.)
Press the Y Key to clear
the text.
The following display
appears to indicate that
there is no text in the file.
Press the N Key if you
decide not to clear the
text.

When the M Key together
with the CODE Key is pressed
in the Text Memory Mode, the
amount of space left in the
memory appears on the LCD
Display.

If you try to enter more char-
acters when the memory is
already full, the following
message will appear and at the
same time the buzzer will
sound. The characters you en-
tered are not accepted.

Word-wrap
Word-wrap is a function applying when text is entered
or when phrases are inserted. It automatically shifts a
word which has gone beyond the right margin to the
beginning of the next line. When the end of the next
line goes beyond the right margin because of this
movement, the same operation is automatically per-
formed and it continues until there is no overflow.
This function makes editing easier since words are
positioned between the left and right margins without
being split.
