Names and Operation of
the Main Parts
Paper Support
Paper Bail
This is used to hold the paper down.
Platen
Paper Release Lever
This lever is used to release the paper.
Pull this lever towards you to adjust the
paper position, and then move it back
to lock the paper.
When you pull the Paper Release Lever
toward you, the Paper Bail Lever will
also move away from the Platen.
Carriage
The Ribbon Cassettes, the
Correction Tape and the
Cupwheel
Print
Element
are installed on the Car-
riage.
This
mechanism
moves to the left and right
for printing, erasing, etc.
when the keyboard
keys
are pressed.

Platen Knob
This is used to manually feed the paper up or down.
By pressing the Platen Knob inward you can rotate the
Platen in small increments.

Paper Bail Lever
When this lever is pulled towards you, the Paper Bail will
move away from the Platen. This allows the paper to easily
inserted and positioned for typing.
Pitch Scale
Three pitch graduations, 10, 12, and 15, are provided. Use
these graduations to set the margins or tabs.
LCD Contrast Adjustor
(CONTRAST)
This is used to adjust the contrast of the
LCD Display.
External Power Input Jack
[DC IN 15 V (©-§>-©)]
This unit can be connected to the AC
Adaptor (RP-K942, included) to enable
it to be powered with household A C
power.

Bottom Cover
By sliding this lid to the right, it
can be removed to exchange the
Cupwheel Print Element.

the optional Interface Adaptor RP-K100 and
