When an error is noticed after the RETURN Key has
been pressed, Manual Correction must be used to
delete the error.

Since the contents of the
correction memory are
cleared when the RE-
TURN Key is pressed,
turn the platen to position
the carriage on the line
where the correction is to
be made.
Use the Space Bar, the
BACK SPACE Key, the
TAB Key, or the CODE
Key and H Key (Half
Space) to move the car-
riage to the position of the
character to be corrected.
Type the correct charac-
ter.
5 Move the carriage to the
position of the last charac-
ter which was typed to
continue typing.
Correction Tape
Two types of tape can be used for correction.
• Lift-Off Correction Tape
This type of correction tape is used together with
correctable film ribbon.
•Cover-Up Correction Tape
This tape is used together with fabric ribbon.
3 Press t h e < ^ K e y and then
the key of the character to
be deleted, the respective
character will be deleted.
When the carriage is at the end of the line and the^<]
Key is pressed, the character at the end of the line is
automatically deleted and the carriage returns to the
character on the left.
