FUNCTIONS
k . Centering
Centering is performed as indicated below, depending
on the carriage position.
• W h e n the carriage is at the left margin, centering is
performed between the left and right margins.
• W h e n the carriage is at a paragraph indent position,
centering is performed between that position and
the right margin.
• W h e n the carriage is on a tab, centering is per-
formed between that tab and the next tab.
• W h e n the character is on the last tab, centering is
performed between that tab and the right margin.

•Operation
Press the C Key together
with the CODE Key.
The carriage moves to the
centering position and the
following appears on the
LCD Display.
• W h e n centering is between
the margins:
L-R CENTERING
•When centering is between
tabs:
TAB CENTERING

Enter the words or sen-
tences to be centered.
RETURN

3 When the RETURN Key
is pressed, the typed char-
acters are printed. The
carriage returns to the left
margin on the next line.
• W h e n a line feed is not desired, press the TAB Key
to move the carriage to the next tab or to the right
margin.
• W h e n you try to enter a large number of characters and
any further entry will go beyond the tabs or margins, or
will be superimposed over already printed characters,
the buzzer will sound and character input is no longer
accepted.
• T o cancel the Centering Mode, press the <(X) Key and
then press the REPEAT Key to delete all the entered
characters until the buzzer sounds. Then press the
Key again.
•Automatic Centering can not be performed while in the
Text Mode.
