Power Switch
e . Memory Back-up Function
When the POWER Switch is set to " O N " , the
carriage moves to the left margin which was last set
and the unit is ready for typing.

The following will remain memorized even after the
POWER Switch has been set to " O F F " :
•Stored Text
•Margins
•Tabs
• Pitches ( 1 0 . 1 2 . 1 5 )
• Line Spacing (1 • IV2 • 2)
• Keyboard (KBI*KBII)
•Operation Modes (TPWR • L/L • JUST)

The built-in lithium battery that is used to store these
functions can be used for about 15 years.
d . Automatic Power "OFF"
Function
When there is no key input for about 10 minutes, the
power will be switched off automatically.
To resume typing, turn the POWER Switch " O F F "
and then " O N " .
• Automatic Power " O F F " Function can not be
performed while in the External Mode.
If the POWER Switch is turned on while the SHIFT
Key is pressed, the Automatic Demonstration will be
printed.
