Set the POWER Switch to the " O F F " position.

Raise the Paper Support, and open the Pitch
Scale.

*Do not touch the Carriage while the power is
switched on.

Hold the Ribbon Cassette with both hands and
remove it by first raising the front end and then
lifting the entire Ribbon Cassette.

Using your hand, gently move the Carriage to the
center of the Platen.

Turn the Ribbon Feed Wheel (on the new
Ribbon Cassette) clockwise to tighten the Rib-
bon.
