Combustion head adjustment

Installation operations are now at the stage where the blast tube
and sleeve are secured to the boiler as shown in Fig. 14 on
page 16.
It is now a very simple matter to set up the combustion head, as
this depends solely on the output developed by the burner at
maximum power.
It is therefore essential to establish this value before proceeding
to set up the combustion head.
In diagram Fig. 21 find the notch for head adjustment.
Air head adjustment
Turn screw 5)(Fig. 20) until the notch identified is aligned with the
front surface 6) of the flange.
Example:
max. burner output = 1600 kW
If we consult diagram (Fig. 21) we find that for this output, the ad-
justment of burner head is in notch 5.
In case the air flow, in boilers with a strong backpressure, is not
sufficient, even with a damper completely open, it is possible to
carry out a calibration different from the one shown in the diagram
in Fig. 21 by setting the screw 5)(Fig. 20) on the next notch, nu-
merically higher and increasing the opening of the combustion
head and therefore the air flow.
