OPERATION
If the "Hold
Screen"
feature is not
active,
the key performs
a different function
.
When you first press
it,
the key stops
the transmission of data from the computer to the Z-29 Termi-
nal by sending an
XOFF.
If you press the key a second time
,
it causes transmission to resume from where it was stopped
by sending an XON
.
Check local operating procedures to en-
sure that your system recognizes this
key.
You can enable or disable the Hold Screen function by pressing
the
8J
key on the main keyboard
.
MONITOR MODE
The MONITOR function will put the screen of your Terminal into
a state where it will display all control characters in reverse
video. Normally, control characters (such as Escape) are not
displayed even though they are received and processed. How-
ever,
be aware that screen formatting is not possible when this
feature is enabled.
You can enable or disable the Monitor function by pressing the
~key
on the main keyboard
.
Setup Menu D
To enter Setup Menu
D,
press the
[!J
key if you are in
the Setup
Mode.
If you are not in the Setup
Mode,
press
the
@j;jllJ~
key and then the
[!J
key. The bottom line
will
display:
*MENU D*
1 SET CLOCK 2. STATUS LINE on 3. WRAP on 4. SCRN SAVER on.
