INSTALLATION
POWER-ON INDICATOR
When you turn the POWER switch on, you should see the
POWER-ON LED (Light Emitting Diode) light up on your
keyboard. If you do
not,
either your keyboard is not plugged
into the video unit properly, or your Z-29 Terminal is not prop-
erly connected to an acceptable source of power.
After a
moment,
you should see a cursor* in the upper left
corner of the screen. You may also see a display on the 25th
line of the display. If you do, you will see a display of the time
(it starts at 0:00:00) and/or one or more other messages, such
as CAPS LOCK, OFF LINE, or INSERT MODE.
You are now ready to configure your new Z-29 Terminal.
*
A cursor is an indicator on the display that lets you know where the next key entry
will appear. The indicator may be an underline or an inverse
(solid)
video
block.
It
may be steady or blinking on and
off.
