Crush hazard for the body and individual limbs due to the surface

» Apply the parking brakes before starting the surface finishing
machine.
7.1.

EXCHANGING THE SIEVE

Select the appropriate sieve for the size of workpiece and size of
abrasive chips.
1. Undo the lock nut and screws, pull the sieve out.
2. Push the new sieve in as far as the stop.

» The abrasive chips must be able to fall through the grid.
3. Tighten the four screws and lock nuts.
7.2.

PREPARATIVE WORK

ü Using the parking brakes to lock the castors.

ü Main switch set to "ON".
ü Cover at the outlet from the trough on the separation unit
closed.
1. Unlock the door for access to the water tank.
2. Using a measuring beaker, measure out the required quantity
hu
of compound and pour it into the left unit of the water tank.
3. Pour approx 45 litres clean water into the left unit of the water
tank.
» The compound will mix with the water that was poured in.
4. Push the water tank into the surface finishing machine and
it
lock the door.
5. The following modifications to the trough may be performed
to suit the characteristics, quantity and size of the workpieces:

6. Depending on the application, select appropriate abrasive
chips and fill the left hand chamber or the entire trough. Main-

tain a maximum filling level 3 cm below the water outlet.

Workpiece characteristic
Large workpieces which require
the full extent of the trough so
they can be processed without
tilting.
High-gloss workpieces and del-
icate workpieces. If the plastic
dividing wall is being used, both
chambers of the troughs must
be filled with abrasive chips.
Small workpieces which can be
processed without tilting in a
single chamber. If an aluminium
dividing wall is used, fill either
the left-hand chamber or both
chambers.
7. Use the setting on the screen to check the water delivery
(pump ON/OFF).

WORKPIECE PROCESSING

Fill the trough only 1/3 full with workpieces.
1. Select the desired mode on the screen, and make the relevant
settings in the Software [} Page 29].
2. Press
to start the motor.
» The trough will start rotation of the abrasive chips.
3. Add the workpieces to be processed into the trough one after
another.
4. Set the desired motor speed.
CAUTION! Laceration hazard. Filling the chamber with
workpieces can lead to lacerations. Wear protective gloves
when filling the chamber.
5. Pause the motor.
6. Fit the trough cover and lock it.
7. Close the noise-absorption hood and lock it.
8. Start the motor again.
9. On expiry of the processing time the motor will stop automat-
ically.
7.4.

CONCLUDING WORK

ü Transport trolley with transport boxes positioned under the
separation unit.
ü Sieve appropriate to the size of workpiece and size of abrasive
chips mounted.
1. Open the noise-absorption hood and the trough cover.
2. Open the cover of the separation unit.
3. Open the side cover of the outlet from the trough and remove
it.
CAUTION! Damage to hearing. Loud noise is generated
when the abrasive chips and workpieces are being re-
moved through the outlet opening. Wear hearing protec-
tion
4. Use the display screen to start the sieve process.
» The motor will impart vibration. The abrasive chips and
workpieces are removed from the trough via the outlet.
» The abrasive chips are sieved into the front container of the
transport trolley. Workpieces are sieved into the rear con-
tainer.
5. To speed up the separation process, increase the speed of the
motor.
6. One the trough is completely empty the sieving process can
be ended.
7.5.

SWITCHING OFF

1. Switch to the "Settings" menu.
2. Select the "Shut Down" menu item.
