NOISE AND VIBRATION

i
The noise level generated is dependent on factors such as
the material and size of the workpiece, and the material of the
abrasive,
the sieve used,
and the finishing process concerned.
When the noise-absorption hood and the trough cover are both
open, the noise level can rise to a value in excess of 79 dB. As far
as possible, always keep the covers closed (this reduces the noise
by up to 10 dB). In particular when performing separation (94 dB),
hearing protection must be worn.
