You cannot use batteries other than the Battery Pack LP-E17.

After opening the card slot/battery compartment cover, be careful not to swing it

back any further. Otherwise, the hinge may break.
Removal

Inserting/Removing the Battery and Card

Close the cover.
Press the cover until it snaps shut.

Open the card slot/battery
compartment cover.
Set the power switch to <2>.
z
Check that the access lamp (1) is off,
z
then open the cover.
If [Saving...] is displayed on the screen,
z
close the cover.

Remove the battery.
Press the battery lock lever as shown by
z
the arrow and remove the battery.
To prevent short-circuits, always attach
z
the included protective cover ( = 42)
to the battery.
