If focusing is not possible with autofocus, you can magnify the image and
focus manually.

Set the focus mode switch to <MF>.

Determine an area to magnify.

Magnify the image.

Turn the lens focusing ring to focus
roughly.
Press the <S> button to activate
magnified display, then move it to where
you want to focus by using the <6>
dial or the < V > cross keys.
To center the magnified area, press the
< B > button.
Each turn of the <5> dial changes the
screen, as follows.
1× ↔ 5× ↔ 10×
(1) AE lock
(2) Magnified area position
(3) Magnification (approx.)
