When [z: Auto Lighting Optimizer] ( = 151) is set to an option other than

[Disable], images may still look bright even if negative compensation is set.
The exposure compensation amount will remain in effect even after you set the

power switch to <2>.
You can also set flash exposure compensation with [Built-in flash settings] in

[z: Flash control] ( = 294).
The camera can also be used to set the external Speedlite's flash exposure
z
compensation in the same way as with the built-in flash.
FE LockM
Shooting with FE (flash exposure) Lock provides suitable flash exposure
over your specified area of the subject.

built-in flash.
