Movie Recording Quality

The card's writing and reading speeds required for recording movies
z
(card performance requirements) vary depending on the movie recording
size. Before recording movies, see = 581 to check the performance
requirements of the card.
Image Size
[ H ] 3840×2160
z
The movie is recorded in 4K quality. The aspect ratio is 16:9. Not
available unless the Mode dial is set to <k>.
[L] 1920×1080
z
The movie will be recorded in Full High-Definition (Full HD) quality. The
aspect ratio is 16:9.
[w] 1280×720
z
The movie is recorded in High-Definition (HD) quality. The aspect ratio is
16:9.
If you change the [ 5 : Video system] setting, also set [Movie rec. size] under
z
[z: Movie rec quality] again.
Normal playback of 4K and L8/7 movies may not be possible on other
z
devices, because playback is processing-intensive.
Clarity and noise vary slightly depending on movie recording size and the lens
z
used.
Movies cannot be recorded in VGA quality.
z
On the [z: Movie rec quality] tab, select
[Movie rec. size] to set the image size,
frame rate, and compression method. The
movie will be recorded as an MP4 file.
The frame rate displayed on the [Movie
rec. size] screen switches automatically
depending on the [ 5 : Video system]
setting ( = 504).
