Important Information — Configuring and Operating the Library

Using USB Keys

You can plug a USB key into the LCM for transferring information to and
from the library. Do not leave a USB key into the LCM indefinitely, unless
specifically directed to do so by Spectra Logic Technical Support.

Using a PS2 Keyboard

Not all characters on a PS2 keyboard are supported in the BlueScale user
interface. If a character does not appear on the soft keyboard, then its use is
not supported.

Note:
Not all USB keys are compatible with the library. If you are
unable to access a USB key from the library, remove it and use a
different one. If the LCM stops responding after you insert an
incompatible USB key, reboot the LCM as described in the
Spectra T200, T380, and T680 User Guide.
O
PERATING THE
You can configure a maximum of eight (8) total partitions per physical
library.
Make sure that all cleaning cartridges you plan to store in the library
have bar code labels with the CLN prefix. The library rejects any
cartridges with bar code labels that do not have the CLN prefix by
reopening the TAP door without moving the magazine into the
partition. The library will warn you if you attempt to import cartridges
that do not have bar code labels.
Make sure that the TeraPack magazines you plan to use for cleaning
cartridges in a cleaning partition have bar code labels with a CL prefix.
The library rejects any magazine that does not have a CL prefix by
reopening the TAP door without moving the magazine into the
partition.
Note:
Cleaning TeraPack magazines labeled with bar code labels
containing the CL prefix and filled with appropriately labeled
cleaning cartridges are available from Spectra Logic.
