Removing the G2/G3 QIP

1. Use your backup software to stop backups running on the library.
2. Use the soft power button on the front of the library to shut down
power to the library.
3. Shut off the AC power switch on the back of the library.
4. Remove any cabling connected to the G2/G3 QIP(s).
Note: If the QIP you are disconnecting is a Fibre Channel QIP
(F-QIP) and cabled with Fibre Channel cables, you may
want to mark the cabling in some way to remember
which cable plugs in to Port A and which to Port B.
5. Use a #2 Phillips screwdriver to loosen the two captive screws on
the side of the QIP.
Note: The screws are on the right side on a Spectra T950
library, and on the left side on a Spectra T120 library.
6. Pull outward on the QIP's handle.
7. Set the QIP aside.
8. Proceed to Removing the G2/G3 QIP Pin on page 8.
