Materials and Tools Required

The following tools and materials are provided
in the upgrade kit:
• A new G4 or G5 QIP
(not shown)
• A new QIP pin
• A 15-inch extender
• A 3/8-inch ratchet
• A 1/2-inch deep-well socket
• A 3/8-inch bolt extractor
You also need:
• A #2 Phillips screwdriver
Note: After unpacking the upgrade kit, save the packaging. You will need it to pack
up the old QIP and the above listed tools for return to Spectra Logic.

Estimated Time Required

This procedure takes about ten minutes.
