During Operation
Starting the Machine
1. Ensure that the battery pack is charged and installed in the machine; refer to Installing the Battery Pack.
2. Install the safety key into the machine. Figure 9.
3. Squeeze the blade-control handles to start the machine. Figure 10.
4. Press the power button at the centre of the upper handles to turn on the machine.
Using the Self-Propel Lever

To adjust the forward speed, adjust the self-propel speed control. Figure 11.

To engage the self-propel drive, pull the self-propel drive handles up to the handle and hold them.

To disengage the self-propel drive, release the self-propel drive handles.
NOTE: To reduce the ground speed, move the speed control to the left; to increase, move it to the right.
