Drive Motor - Washer - Maytag MLE22PD Service Manual

Disconnect power before servicing.
Replace all parts and panels before operating.
Failure to do so can result in death or electrical shock.
Drive Motor Connector
1. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
2. Access the drive motor of the washer
(See page 4-72).
3. Disconnect wire harness from the motor.
4. Set the ohmmeter to the R X 1 scale.
Set digital ohmmeters to lowest scale.

5. Touch the ohmmeter test leads to the
contacts listed below. The meter should
indicate as shown in the chart below. If the
meter indicates an open circuit (infinite Ω),
replace the motor.

2 to 3 Abnormal = Open circuit
