Drive Motor - Dryer - Maytag MLE22PD Service Manual

Disconnect power before servicing.
Replace all parts and panels before operating.
Failure to do so can result in death or electrical shock.
Drive Motor

See page 4-34 for the procedure for accessing
the dryer drive motor.
1. Unplug dryer of disconnect power.
2. Disconnect the connector from the drive
motor.
3. Set the ohmmeter to the R X 1 scale.
4. Touch ohmmeter test leads to the contact
points shown in the table below.
Winding Resistance
Main 2.4 - 3.6Ω
Start 2.4 - 3.8Ω
