APPENDIX 3: INSTALLATION AND USE OF THE BLOWER AND
THERMODISC
An optional blower (AC01010) can be installed on the back of the wood fire to increase the flow of
air past heat exchange surfaces and to help circulate warm air in the room. When used regularly,
the blower can provide a small increase in efficiency, up to 2 percent. However, the use of a
blower should not be used as a way to gain more output from a wood fire that is undersized for
the space it is intended to heat.
1. Remove the knock-out (A) with a pair of cutting pliers.
2. Install the blower (B) using 4 screws (C)
