Driver assistance system
• Leaving a parking space near a wall or
parking in a narrow space
- For your safety, Parking Assist does
not search for parking spaces at areas
with narrow parking spaces that are
narrower than the minimum space
required for parking.
- Parking Assist may not operate prop-
erly when leaving a parking space
that is narrow and near a wall. Always
check for pedestrians, animals,
objects while leaving.
WARNING
Take the following precautions when
using Parking Assist:
• The driver is responsible for safe
parking and exit when using Parking
Assist.
• The driver should operate Parking
Assist while properly depressing the
brake pedal when necessary.
• Always check surroundings when
using Parking Assist. Even in park-
ing spaces that Parking Assist has
searched, make sure that there are
no people, animals, or objects in the
parking space.
• A collision may occur if a pedestrian,
animal, or object suddenly appears
while Parking Assist is operating.
• Do not use Parking Assist when under
the influence of alcohol.

• Do not put your hands between the
steering wheel while it is being auto-
matically controlled. It may cause an
accident.
• Parking Assist may not operate nor-
mally if the vehicle needs wheel align-
ment adjustment when the vehicle
tilts to one side. We recommend that
the vehicle be checked by an autho-
rized HYUNDAI dealer.
• Use Remote Smart Parking Assist only
in a parking space that is large enough
for the vehicle to move safely.

• Parking Assist may operate if the Park-
the vehicle is stopped. Be careful not
to press the button unintentionally.
• Never drive too fast when using Park-
ing Assist. Always drive cautiously to
prevent unexpected and sudden situ-
ations from occurring.
• Slowly move forward or in reverse
while depressing the brake pedal
after the steering wheel has been fully
turned by Parking Assist.
