4.4 Preparation for installation
Proceed as follows:
Î Flush the pipelines.
Note
The plant operator is responsible for clean‑
ing the pipelines in the plant.
Î Check the valve to make sure that it is
clean.
Î Check the valve for damage.
Î Check to make sure that the type desig‑
nation, valve size, material, pressure rat‑
ing and temperature range of the valve
match the plant conditions (size and
pressure rating of the pipeline, medium
temperature etc.).
Î Check any mounted pressure gauges to
make sure they function.
Î When the valve and actuator are al‑
ready assembled, check the tightening
torques of the bolted joints (u AB 0100).
Components may loosen during trans‑
port.
