--- Choose a measurement distance that will not change and that you know very well, about 1 to 10
meters long (for example, the width of the room). The measured distance location must be indoors.
--- Multiple measurements are made at this distance, and these measurements are then averaged. The
measured average distance cannot deviate too far from the actual distance. Record measurements should
be made to check the accuracy of the instrument.
⑤Handle common usage problems
--- Problem scenario: the target's reflection is too strong (such as a mirror), too weak (such as
black material), or its surroundings are too bright.
Solution: Use the laser aiming target (user-supplied) such as white paper.
--- Problem scenario: The laser emitter or receiving lens is covered with a mist (due to rapid
temperature changes).
Solution: Dry the laser emitter and receiving lens with a soft cloth.
--- Problem scenario: Measurement results are not reliable, or software does not display
measurement results.
Solution:
A. It may be caused by the target's inability to reflect correctly (e.g. water, glass). Measurement
should be carried out after covering the target.
B. The laser emitter and receiver are covered. Remove the cover of the laser emitter and receiver
lens.
C. In the range of the laser there is an obstacle, let the laser point fully projected on the target
surface before the measurement.
D. The software does not display the measurements, possibly because the instrument's receiving
lens is not picking up enough reflected light to get a result. Check whether the position of the laser
point projection meets the requirements. Move the equipment to re-select the position of the laser
point projection suitable for measurement, and then measure again.
