Condition
Double-feed occurs with
the leading edge of paper
misaligned largely.
Miss-feed occurs.

Cause
Paper out of specifications is used.
Paper is not stacked in alignment.
Loaded paper is more than 50 mm/
1.96 inches in height.
When the paper length exceeds 457.2 mm/
18.00 inches, the paper stacking height is
25 mm/ 0.98 inch or more.
The side guide unit is pressed against the
paper strongly.
The separating air adjustment knob is not
positioned correctly.
Separating air volume is too low
Pickup air volume is too large.
The clearance between the separator and
suction belt is too large.
The stack height sensor is not positioned
correctly.
The suction belt is stained.
Paper is sticking and difficult to separate.
Paper out of specifications is used.
Paper is not stacked in alignment.
The paper feed guide is pressed against
the paper strongly.
Suction timing is delayed because paper is
too large and heavy.
The separating air adjustment knob is not
positioned correctly.
Separating air volume is too large.
Pickup air volume is too low.
The clearance between the separator and
suction belt is small.
The stack height sensor is not positioned
correctly.
The side guide unit is pressed against the
paper strongly.
When using thin paper or curled paper,
or using small size paper with [Feed
Interval] set to [Fast], mis-feed may occur
for the second sheet or later.
Solution
Do not use paper outside the specifications.

Stack the paper in alignment.
Load paper so that it is less than
50 mm/1.96 inches in height.
When the paper length exceeds 457.2 mm/
18.00 inches, load paper so that it is less
than 25 mm/0.98 inch in height.
Set the side guide unit leaving some
clearance between the side guide unit and
paper.

large scales.
