Post-Repair Checklist

To ensure a successful SNC 6101 installation, it is important that the items in this checklist be verified after
you have completed the replacement process.

Install the replacement SNC
6101 in the Scalar 100.

Ensure that the FC hosts are
turned off. If not, disconnect the
FC cables now.

Cable a service terminal to the
service port of the SNC 6101.

Turn on the Scalar 100.

Wait for the SNC 6101 to finish
booting.

From the service terminal, enter
the scsiShow command.

Modify the WWN for a
replacement SNC 6101 only if it
is critical that the replacement
have the same WWN as the
replaced SNC 6101.

Configure network parameters
for the SNC 6101.

Perform the following:
• If more current firmware is
available, update the firmware.
• Load the configuration file you
saved in
Step 1
and Replacing the SNC 6101
on page 36.
• Restart the SNC 6101.

Reconnect the FC cables
removed in step 2, or, if you
turned OFF any FC hosts, turn
them back ON.

SNC 6101. This precaution ensures that FC hosts
cannot perform any I/O to the SCSI target devices
prior to restoring the SNC 6101 configuration.
