6.20.3 The remote control function
and use
At the end of the HomeWhiz configuration,
bluetooth switches on automatically. To
enable or disable the bluetooth connection,
see bluetooth 3".
If you turn your machine on and off while
the bluetooth connection is active, it will
reconnect automatically. If the paired
device is not within range, the bluetooth
will automatically turn off. For this reason,
you must re-enable bluetooth if you want to
use the remote control function.
You can check the bluetooth symbol on the
screen to monitor the connection status. If
the symbol lights up continuously, you are
connected via Bluetooth. If the symbol
flashes, the product is trying to establish a
connection. If the symbol is off, you have
no connection.

If the bluetooth connection is
enabled on your product, the
remote control function can be
selected.
If the remote control function
cannot be selected, check the
connection status. If the
connection cannot be established,
you must repeat the initial
configuration on the product.
For safety reasons, the door of the
product must be locked and
remain closed regardless of the
operational mode of the product
when the Remote Control function
is enabled. To open the door of the
product, you must first turn the
program selector knob or press the
remote control button to disable
the remote control function.
If you want to operate your washing
machine remotely, after closing the front
lid, activate the remote control function by
pressing the remote control button while
the program button is in the Program
download/remote control position on the
control panel of your washing machine.
Once access has been established with the
product, you will see a screen similar to the
one below.
When the remote control function is
enabled, you can only operate the
machine, turn it on and off and monitor
the status through your washing
machine. All functions except the child
lock can be managed via the app.
You can check whether the Remote
Control function is on or off by the
function indicator on the button.
If the remote control function is
deactivated, all operations are carried out
on the washing machine and only status
monitoring on the application is possible.
If the remote control function cannot be
enabled, you will hear a warning after
pressing the button. This is possible if the
device is turned on and there is no paired
smart device via Bluetooth. For example,
the bluetooth setting is turned off or the
washing machine door is open. When you
enable this function of the washing
machine, this function remains active
except in some situations, so that you can
control your washing machine remotely
via bluetooth.
