The ECL 2000 is supplied with 14 (Type 1) or 17 (Type 2) pre-programmed heat-
ing applications. This chapter provides:
• An overview of the ECL 2000 applications
• System and wiring diagrams for individual applications.
The following considerations regarding the connection of sensors apply to all the
ECL 2000 applications.
controller uses a default value of 0 °C as the outdoor temperature.
If no flow temperature sensor is installed or the sensor is short-circuited, the motor
valve regulating the flow temperature is closed and automatic control of the heat-
ing is disabled.
If no return temperature sensor is installed or the return temperature sensor is
short-circuited, return temperature limiting cannot be applied. Apart from this, the
controller functions normally.
automatic control of the hot-water temperature is disabled.
If no room temperature sensor is installed or the sensor is short-circuited, the con-
troller can still perform automatic control of heat and hot-water circuits but all
functions related to the room temperature are disabled.
