Configuring the ECL 2000

5.4.2 Sensor Inputs

Sensor

26
The ECL 2000 assumes by default that sensor S8 is used to measure room tem-
perature. However, you can redefine the use of this sensor. Likewise, if sensors S9,
1
S10 and/or S11
are not used in the default system setup, you can set up these sen-
sors to perform various measurements.
Generally, sensors S8-S11 can be set up to:
• Measure wind, sun, water flow, energy, temperature (Pt 1000 sensor),
• Perform an "other" function, or to
• Receive input from an external timer.
Note:
It is not possible to set up two sensors with the same function (Sensor) in one cir-
cuit (Circuit). For example, you cannot have two room temperature sensors both
affecting circuit 1. The ECL 2000 automatically excludes this and similar illegal
settings.
Furthermore, not all combinations of settings (e.g. Sensor and Type) are allowed.
The ECL 2000 keeps track of this and only allows you to select valid settings.
This setting tells the ECL 2000 what is measured by means of the sensor con-
nected to the input. The setting can have the following values:

Clock func.
An external timer is connected to the input. The clock input only
affects the circuit when the circuit is in Automatic mode. When the
timer input is OFF (0), the normal 7-day program for the circuit is
active. When the timer input is ON (1), the circuit is in Comfort
mode. Typically, you set up a 7-day program for the circuit with no
comfort periods defined. In this way, the circuit will be on comfort
temperature when the timer input is ON and on night setback when
the timer input is OFF
